Project 1:After effects screen shoot and explaning

This is the after effects Document for the leaching scene in my production leacher   

Effects" top is lens flare, to help giving off a glowing light for the hand

while the effects under it is the lightning effects and there is multiple of them so that at the frames moves the effect can move along with it 

this is the effect from the flame finger, 

there is a null layer which is used to make the flame move and the flame is a other piece of footage that was imported into after effects, the flame has colour correction on it to make it blue and the flame aslo has a lens flare on it to make it shine slightly 

this effect is for the lightning hand shake

there is a lens flare in the middle to make the screen flash with light and there is also multiple lightning effects to make the lightning move along the screen

special effects
the video's effects could of been a lot better, the teleporting could of used some work that will make it more realistic and the flame was a bit weak, biut overall the lightning one is the weakest one that needs the most work done on it since it does not love up to what it was meant to be. the over flame and teleport effects where still good in terms of how they where done


audio
for the audio i could of really edited it a little so the quite things where louder and the loud things where quieter( E.G jays ringtone was to loud and jays mum's voice was to quiet at times) the video is also lacking a BGM which it could really do with but the story moves so quickly its hard to find a place where it could go and what song would work


sequence
the sequence was put together really well, its a little jumpy how ever, but that can easily be fixed

Project 1:Use of music in film - legal considerations

1 Right of use

Differences between recording and publishing rights is that, publishing rights is from the people who own the music, lyrics and composition. you should note this for the copy right. with recoding rights it is from the people who preformed a version of that piece of music that is free to use

the easiest was to clear a piece of music for a film is to hire a composer or a local band that hasn't been signed to a label yet, then select an original piece of music of a piece for  music library since music libraries has a tone of pre-cleared tracks


depending on the circumstances  depends if you are allowed to use a piece of work in your film that was made from someone that has died. if the artist/composer has been dead for over 70 years the copyright would have been cleared but you will still need to consider who owns the rights to that piece of work right now, in most cases a company will own the rights so you would need to still approach them you that you can get a clearance for the piece


identical music is a piece of  music that is played in the background to help build up drama,tention and build up the atmosphere of the scene

my reason for choosing silver is because, the music help but up mystery and make it fill like that jay really wanted to solve the mystery of the deaths, the tone of the music helps make you think about whats going on

health and safety notes

• do Risk assessments if we are doing anything that can be dangerous 
• do not climb onto benches or trees as they may be slippery 
• when filming on stairs or anywhere busy take care, put yellow filming signs near to us to let people know
• look out for other people
• be careful on slippery surfaces 
• if want to do some filming on a roof or climbing a tree, go ask teachers before doing it
• mind where putting tripods and wires
