Project 1:Drive

A geteaway driver (Ryan Gosling) is assisting two burglars on getting away from the place that was burgled. he has a strict rule he has that people have to follow, the people who are committing the crime has 5 minuets to commit the crime and get into his car to getaway or he will drive off and leave them.

purpose

the build is to build up tension for the viewer they do this by applying a only little information to the viewer, knowing that the police are looking for them but they don't have any idea where the police are except from the scene's where you can see the police drive by/ the helicopter hover over them. and with the help of a radio to hear what the police are saying to each other, but along with a baseball game radio broadcast,the view can see that the suspense is building along with the baseball game

the whole clip just gives us more questions than answers which is what helps build up the tension/suspense as the cops get closer and closer to find them in the car and that every second counts as represented by the watch ticking away as it ticks and the more it ticks the viewer can feel the suspense rising until it drops a bit when he turns into the stadium and gets out the car, the the suspense of the clip drops slightly.
